Salute to Fall's Military Trend

Left, left, left, right, left… Fall 2010 fashion is upon us and the military trend is on the front lines as the look of the moment. Everything from epaulettes to double breasted brass button closures to the easiest to wear skinny cargo pants, this uniform is here to stay.
Jackets and coats are the easiest way to pull off the Military look and you can opt to go for a more muted version with just brass buttons on outerwear or can go full force with braiding, brass buttons and epaulettes. Just do not under any circumstance go complete GI Jane by matching a jacket with cargo pants. Its best to choose to sport it on either your bottom as in skinny cargo pants or on top. Utilitarian inspired jackets go really well with a more feminine base such as shiny skinny leggings, a frilly dress, or jeans with thigh high boots while skinny cargo pants or a cargo pencil skirt look fabulous with a light weight turtleneck or fitted top with a belted cardigan. For more visual examples on the runway, Michael Kors, Balmain and Dries Van Noten worked this look the best showcasing everything from jackets, belts, shirts, and loose and skinny cargo pants.
